News Bystronic BySmart Fiber - Proudly Assembled in the USA!

The new, ‘Assembled in the USA’ BySmart Fiber laser cutting machine is truly a global product with major ‘local’ impact. The BySmart Fiber is now assembled on three continents, a milestone recently achieved by the assembly of the first BySmart Fiber at the new Bystronic U.S. facility in Hoffman Estates, IL.

Locally sourced components such as the mainframe, fiber laser unit, housings, dust trays, dust collectors and other machine components will all come from local U.S sources to supply the ‘lean flow’ assembly line at the new Hoffman Estates, IL facility. In fact, many of these critical components will be created by current Bystronic customers using Bystronic world-class machine technology. Critical intellectual property (IP) components such as the Bystronic ByVision Cutting control system as well as the Bystronic created cutting head and drive systems, will continue to be supplied through our headquarters in Niederönz, Switzerland as well as our other factories around the world.

By investing in the North American marketplace, the new Bystronic assembly line has created, and will continue to create, new U.S. jobs both within Bystronic, as well as with our sub-contractors across America. This boost for the local economy provides an additional source of pride in being able to state that we proudly ‘Assemble in the USA.’
