As Fiber lasers continue to expand to higher power thresholds, one of the key performance factors is the ability to harness the speed benefits from the higher laser power through improved machine performance capabilities. To facilitate speed, the  ByStar Fiber laser cutting machine  employs a linear drive motion system for both X and Y axes that removes any mechanical limitations from the drive system.

NEW! Optional  Integrated Rotary Axis 
When purchasing a new Bystronic ByStar Fiber laser cutter, it can be be equipped with an integrated rotary axis for tube cutting. Tubes are inserted through a hatch on the side of the machine housing or directly through the sliding door on the long side of the machine.  

Thanks to the sliding door on the long side of the cutting area, operators always have unlimited access to the parts that are to be processed. This facilitates both the set-up for tube processing jobs and the fast unloading of the completed cut parts. 

Tubes with a diameter between 1.25 inch and 12.5 inches and a variety of lengths can be processed.  

Bystronic’s patented triangle cutting bridge enables the ByStar Fiber to take full advantage of the increased speeds generated by the high fiber laser powers and the linear drives, while maintaining axis rigidity during accelerations.

The Bystronic ByVision Cutting CNC interface intuitively guides users through the operation process. The full 22” high definition touch screen provides maximum operating convenience and transparent process control of the entire manufacturing process. Operators quickly and intuitively learn the control interface.

Bystronic-engineered cutting head
Harnessing the full laser power and focusing it accurately on to the work piece for each material type is the function of one of the most important elements of a Fiber laser cutting system, the cutting head. The Bystronic engineered cutting head not only has the capability to automatically focus for each material type and thickness. but also regulates the cutting beam diameter, improving speeds and overall edge finish. 

Real-time data
Offered as an option, Observer is a passive remote monitoring system that keeps the user up-to-date about the operating status of the Fiber laser cutting system regardless of time and location. The OPC Interface provides data about the manufacturing progress on the Fiber laser. It also provides an important basis for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) analysis in real-time.
